To clarify — the standalone …

To clarify — the standalone `pynq_sdio_project` was scoped specifically for FPGA validation purposes, containing only the RTL files needed to verify the controller in isolation on the PYNQ-Z2. Now that functional validation is complete, this will be processed for SoC flow along with the MegaSoC project.

Reference design grounding

Good call on the reference design grounding — I'll add a section that ties the reuse principle to verification methodologies used in our reference designs.

Sorry for the confusion. As…

Sorry for the confusion. As described in the Update 01/10/26, the standalone LPDDR4 subsystem is verified against its planned standalone test list (T1–T8). It is now integrated into MegaSoC as a submodule. It is wired in behind a build option (INC_LPDDR4), with an AXI async bridge, an AHB→APB async bridge, and plumbing from the chip down to the testbench. Both builds compile clean, and as of today the A53 firmware brings up the DRAM and the first read/write tests (T1–T3) pass inside MegaSoC.

Hi,

Could you add a sub-project to megaSoC for the SD card files system implementation? You can take Daniel's example PCK600 Integration in megaSoC as a model.

You might want to make the same statement that Daniel made, but this will depend on the Milestones you have planned:

The project will explore from Architectural Design to power aware behavioral simulations. The rest of the design flow (logical simulation to ASIC implementation) will be covered in the main megaSoC project

John.

One of the things Daniel mentioned yesterday was the use of an FPGA for verification. He mentioned that the plan was to use an FPGA with an A53 core in the hard PS side of the FPGA to act as a surrogate for the megaSoC compute system. This seems like something that we should write up as part of the project.

This should be part of the write up of the Milestone for the design flow step  Verification Methodology

John.
