The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering has four major divisions:

1. Computer Engineering (CpE) covers design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware components. 
2. Electronics division covers a broad range of topics from the manufacturing of integrated circuits to their applications in real world systems.
3. Signals & Systems division covers the transmission, creation, manipulation, and understanding of signals and systems.
4. Electrophysics division covers electromagnetic fields and their application, including optical fiber, photonics devices, etc.
